Chess, the game of intellectuals across the world. Its one of those games that requires a ridiculous amount of thought, strategy, and in some cases even luck. People would probably argue against the luck aspect, but to be honest, sometimes people make moves without some elaborate strategy planned out, and overthinking could easily be your downfall. Why do I love it? Because I'm not amazing at it. I've been playing my entire life, and am still fairly easy to beat. But I keep coming back for more because as strategy goes, the game challenges you at the most basic of levels. Cause and effect are central aspects, and they help strip the complications of "war" down to simple moves. The game makes me grin maniacally because no one knows how many moves ahead you've planned, or how random your actions have become. Learn it, play it, challenge yourself!
